"Wir sind ein älteres, berufstätiges Ehepaar und schätzen es, ca. 2x die Woche auswärts essen zu gehen. Wir wissen die gepflegte Küche sowie einen kundenfreundlichen Service sehr zu schätzen. Kürzlich sind wir abends ins Restaurant Utiger eingekehrt, in der Hoffnung, ein Restaurant zu finden, welches wir auch künftig öfters aufsuchen könnten. Das Essen war gut, der Service war angesichts der hohen Auslastung im Restaurant ok. Als wir die Rechnung verlangten, wurde uns ein Beleg ausgehändigt, nach dem wir entweder CHF 176.50 oder € 141.20 zu bezahlen hätten. Da wir über eine Eurokarte verfügen, haben wir uns bei der Serviertochter nach der Möglichkeit erkundigt, die Rechnung mit unsere Euro-Card begleichen zu können. Zu diesem Zweck musste der Restaurantchef, Herr Tschumi, beigezogen werden.Soweit, so gut. Bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt hätten wir uns mit jeder auch nur einigermassen anständigen Erklärung, weshalb der Euro-Betrag an Gültigkeit verloren habe, mühelos abfinden können. (Offenbar war immer noch der alte Umrechnungskurs im System gespeichert.) Was uns aber aufs Äusserste konsterniert hat: Herr Tschumi hat uns gegenüber - in unmittelbarer Anwesenheit anderer Gäste - völlig respektlos reagiert und meinen Mann gar als "Schlitzohr" betitelt. Selbst unsere Tischnachbarn haben sich ab dieser absolut despektierlichen Reaktion des "Gastgebers" entsetzt. Die Website des Restaurants Utiger misst der Kundenzufriedenheit höchste Priorität zu und verspricht, keine Anstrengungen zu scheuen, was die Gastfreundschaft betrifft. Ziel sei es, den Kunden auch weiterhin zu überzeugen. Leider wurde dieses Ziel - zumindest in unserem Fall - nicht erreicht. Nicht etwa des Essens oder der Serviertochter wegen, sondern des völlig unerwarteten und respektlosen Verhaltens des Restaurantsinhabers wegen. Schade, wirklich schade. Anhand dieses Vorfalls wurde uns wieder mal bewusst, wie viel uns das kundenfreundliche Verhalten - insbesondere der Respekt des Gastgebers dem Gast gegenüber - in einem Gastbetrieb lieb und wert ist.Wir werden künftig die Wirtschaft Utiger meiden und nur noch jene Restaurants aufsuchen, die WIRKLICH keine Anstrengungen scheuen, was die Gastfreundschaft betrifft."
