"Yesterday with the family on the way back from a high time in daventry visited. beautiful, picturesque little pub and that was eating for dying! we were a table of 8 with two small children and even the children's meals were amazing. very clean and beautiful village pub. my only mistake was the position of the baby wrap table, a little laborious to say the least, but in a toilet so tiny I can understand the logik in where it is placed. everything in a fabulous place and we will definitely visit again in the warmer months"

"Its a lovely welcoming pub. Food is tasty, plentiful and is value for money. The service was excellent and didn't have to wait long, once ordered and we were a part of 26. There is a lovely private beer garden at the rear. Definitely a place to go if your in the area"

"We recently held my Nan's funeral wake at The Bell and can't speak highly enough of the care and attention we were given by Nicola and Rachel. They gave us a very reasonable per head price for a really generous buffet with a wide selection of quichese, sausage rolls, cheeses, charcuterie, sandwiches, spring rolls, salads, crisps, cakes, hot drinks you name it! Dietary restrictions were also catered for. They were very hospitable and looked after everyone magnificently. I am so glad we came to the Bell as they couldn't have made us feel more looked after."

"The last few times we have been, half the (already not extensive) menu has not been available. This time 5 of the 6 meals arrived, then came an apology for the mix up, but we were assured meal 6 would arrive shortly and we would not be charged for it. The other meals were finished and cleared away before we were advised that meal six was being plated up. It took a further 5 minutes to make its way to the table. As I don't eat dessert, I'd asked the others to order theirs and asked the waiter to serve the desserts with my main course as I didn't want to be eating on my own. This seemed to be too difficult to do, so I ate alone then sat and watched the others eat (again). The staff were apologetic and they did take my main course and the 2 desserts off the bill, however I have been disappointed by the coach and horses one too many times now. I very much doubt I will be returning and I certainly will not be recommending it."
