"Wonderful pub. Absolutely packed. So if going on Sunday definitely get a table reserved. Meat special was lamb today on the Sunday dinner. So delicious I'd forgotten to photograph it. I had the prawn starter which was good. Others on take had soup, and brie and parma ham. Empty bowls all round. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"We visited as a party of for Sunday lunch to celebrate my daughter's birthday. The staff could not be more attentive and accommodating. We asked if we could add two people to our booking when we arrived and although they were very busy...they moved us to a larger table with no fuss. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. It has been many years since I have visited and I was not disappointed. The restaurant and bar had a very welcoming and cosy vibe with a log fire and festive decor. The manager (I assumed he was) was very friendly and even gave my daughter a free drink for her birthday. Well done to The Splash' we will be back soon!"
