"Fabulous day spent at Paper Mill Lock, visited the tea room which has sandwiches (both cold or toasted) all £7.00 came with crisps and coleslaw, had a lovely coffee as well. Lovely selection of cakes too. Great staff who were very friendly, just a lovely place to watch the world go by. Car park nearby is £5.00 per car for the day or £3.00 from 2.30pm, closes at 5.30. Will definitely be visiting again"

"Went on a Thursday evening,had a table for 3. Food was lovely, fish and chips, rack of ribs X2. Plus a dessert. Chips were big and chunky, cod tender and moist with crispy batter, ribs succulent and tasty. . Thoroughly enjoyed it. A good down to earth menu, friendly hosts, nice ales. We hope to be going again soon. Thank you. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5"

"Dropped in for lunch as we were in the area, cheery staff seated outside but we moved inside due to wasps. Both had lamb burgers, very tasty with a generous salad. Only minor grumble is the buns for the burger are far too big (picky I know). Fair price and left satisfied."

"You can stay the night in your campervan or small motorhome here, if you ask the management in advance and dine with them. I went there with my son and was greeted warmly, and treated well. They have FRESH FISH FRIDAY which took my eye,...and the chef said they would also do a kids portion even though it wasn't on the menu. It was a big portion and absolutely delicious. The bar staff were young and very friendly and provided good service. We ended up having a nice chat with some friendly locals at the bar after our meal. Slept very well after a few pints in their quiet carpark. Beautiful church just opposite and the next morning they were hosting small Xmas market which we also visited, buying a few things before moving on. Enjoyed our evening and stopover. would definitely return"
