"The pizza took a long time to be delivered because the address was taken down incorrectly and it was not warm enough. Also it was supposed to be goats cheese but it was mostly pepperoni."

"Surprisingly, having visited three or four times, it seems to get worse every time. My initial visit was with the full family on a Sunday, I thought it was potentially just the fact the staff were young and hadn’t been trained to any standard. Having worked in restaurants for a long time there are few things that really grind my gears. One is staff avoiding customers and doing no work. A second is staffs drinking in public view and a third is staff using a glass as an ice scoop, especially one they had just drank from. The coffee was weak, the food was bland and the staff looked lost. My next visit was with my daughter, she is 2, no help from the staff to carry or even offer to carry anything, was directed to the high chairs (with a 2 year old in my arms) and was told if it gets busy I’d be asked to move….it was 9am and we were the only 2 people in the restaurant. My, what will be my final visit is today, I’m actually sat here on the restaurant right. Same issues about food, this time my omelette was boarder line burnt. I am all for supporting local businesses, but I am afraid this will be my last visit. Massively disappointing."

"Visited Humble Pie Dec 2020. Waited in the doorway and having been ignored for beyond a reasonable time, we left. It's a shame when hospitality is suffering so much at present that the actions of frontline staff can have such an impact. Shame but we...won't be back."

"My daughter and I went out for lunch and after hearing really good things were left very disappointed. When we entered we were completely ignored whilst staff members were chatting despite them seeing us and the place being almost empty. They didn’t acknowledge us until we rang the bell, at which point we were seated. We both ordered a drink, I had a glass of wine (awful and my daughter ordered a cocktail (equally awful, watery and flavourless despite costing almost £8! . Food was very basic, dry and flavourless. Staff not very attentive at all despite the quiet restaurant. All in all, over priced for what it is, flavourless and disappointing. Will not return."

"Great venue, neat as a pin, good staff, but I won't be back. Firstly, as with any cavernous all wooden/glass space we found the deli very noisy, so anyone sensitive to sound or using hearing aids would be uncomfortable. Unfortunately the background piano music soundtrack merely added to the cacophony. Secondly, I thought the menu was expensive for what it was. and expensive in comparison to other cafes in the village. We had one scone with butter and jam, 2 teas and one piece of cake which came to £15.10. Lastly, the food itself. The scone was dry and overmixed, lacking in flavour. The jam portion was tiny. Luckily the tea was good (teabag, hot water.. what could go wrong? but you needed it with every mouthful of that dry scone. The cake was good, (again small portion but at that price? Not good value for money. Sorry to say but with so much competition nearby I won't be returning any time soon. Pity, as parking is good and the grounds are lovely."
