"We went as a party of 14 and we all got our meals at the same time. The service was excellent with them saying our names for the meals instead of the name of the dish which I found more friendly. The staff were attentive with out being intrusive. "Excellent structure. Good spaces for parking. Great outside space with some cover.The structure is beautifully traditional with some of the dining area separate but (rare for a gastropub) it retains much of the character of a traditional boozer with a good choice of real ales.On a bus route and in an interesting area with good local footpaths."

"Had a really nice piece of chicken, nice coffee, and coleslaw, gave order for desert, after twenty three minutes overhead some new customers saying that no deserts left, never informed this by customers, left offspring in car for a extra twenty three minutes for nothing, paid for food that was not forthcoming."

"Lovely Christmas Lunch but we were disappointed with the selection of veg we got… no sprouts we saw that the table across from us had these but ours never arrived, when I asked if we could have some the young lad who was serving us went to ask and was told they had run out! No sprouts on Christmas Day really is unforgivable, we also asked for some more mash and that had ran out too! The meal was really delicious but they had obviously under estimated how much veg they would need so it took the shine off what would have been a perfect Christmas lunch When you pay £70 per head you expect it to be perfect Not having to shop , prep, cook and wash up was a bonus but we were all a little disappointed"
