"We held our ceremony and reception at The Fleece. It was the perfect wedding venue. The picturesque views surrounding The Fleece set the back drop for many special photos. The staff couldn’t do enough for us and were on hand to ensure every little detail was perfect and that the day ran smoothly. We would like to say a HUGE thank you to Carrie-Anne and the events team for making everything come together. The food was amazing and the canapés were delicious! The rooms were incredibly cozy and our guests enjoyed staying in them, the bridal suite was fantastic too! Once again thank you soo much to everyone at the fleece for making our special day truly amazing! We would highly recommend the fleece to anyone!"

"Visiting Halifax for the weekend this restaurant was recommended by local people. We went on a Sunday evening expecting it to be quiet, only to find it very busy, certainly a good sign. The food was served quickly, and it was hot and delicious. Portions are plentiful and this is a very popular place to visit. Probably a good idea to book whenever you go."

"Updated Review Returned to try the vegan menu, which was excellent: good variety offered for all courses and all seemed to be homemade from whole ingredients ie no processed meat replacements. Food was very well cooked and presented and portions were very generous. Service was excellent. If you have a vegan in your party you will have no issues here. Top notch. We had a really nice family lunch here. The menu is fairly classic British on the whole but very varied, there are a number of specials and also smaller plates from a retro menu . All the food was excellently cooked and presented and the service was prompt and friendly. This pub has a very cosy, traditional interior, with real fires, and is wonderful to have some good food and a chat. All 3 generations were happy with the fare and a good time was had by all. We 'll definitely be back."

"We have already ordered a few times their food kits when we get friends, it's the best way to have an incredible meal at home. I couldn't recommend it better. they come in at a weekend and take them handful of their brilliant sweet and hearty tasty. I just started doing sandwiches that are divine."
