"First time here for a while, looked busy which is normally a good sign. Wife had chicken sizzler fajitas, unfortunately the chicken was very dry and not succulent at all. I had the mixed grill sizzler, the bed of onions were saturated with fat and the egg undercooked, the rest was fine but would have preferred home made chips instead of frozen! The menu has a great choice of food, maybe the wrong choice at the wrong time, the mince and dumplings on another table looked delicious. The portions are large by todays standards which for me is on the plus side."

"We always enjoy the food here. We in particular enjoy the chips. Tonight however, they were completely different. I gather they were cooked in their skins but were in general full of black marks and tasteless. I'm not sure if you are using a different method, or brand but bring back those double cooked crispy brown chips Price per person: £10–20"

"There was one guy running the bar delivering drinks and food. Completely understaffed. He worked tirelessly but the owner fails to manage this bar along with another bad the Kittiwake. Needs taking over by Newcastle city pubs sadly"

"I got up for a late tee tonight. the Sharing plate had fried between 4 then Sunday. absolutely beautiful. a good value for money. I couldn't break anything on the plate. looked outside with the dog. very friendly. highly recommended. the visit worth. can not wait to visit again. thanks to the employees and the locals. very appreciated."
