"My wife, whose birthday it was, my eldest son and I enjoyed a fabulous meal last night. The setting, food were outstanding and the service exemplary. The young lady assigned to our table was absolutely spot on, attentive without being constant, friendly knowledgeable and smiley. We will definitely return and I would thoroughly recommend this venue. A wonderful evening."

"Never been here before which is a shame as it's a great local pub to have a meal. Couldn't fault it in any respect. Very friendly service from the manager and the room is a very inviting place to sit. excellent value and great food."

"I went in a party of three and we all ordered turbot, because neither of us is a massive carnivore (and none of us wanted to eat a brain). the menu was small and the main thing was expensive. the fish was beautifully coked, but not sure whether it was the price as they need to order side to be satisfied, and this will be the price up to about £40. the side were good and bigger compared to the side that they would get in other restaurants; they were also well cooked. the dessert had snipsel of rhubarb and was more flan than brulee; I'd rather be lavish by rhubarb with a good, questionable ecstard. the eating was excellent, though expensive for what they were given, but I would still be this restaurant five stars because of the beautiful outdoor and good service, without which I would probably rate orwell's four stars."

"We enjoyed the most beautiful lunch for our anniversary on Saturday. The tables were a safe distance and the employees all followed the government's PPE guidelines. The food was incredible. I can't recommend it enough!"
