"Saturday night treat. Lovely restaurant, the food was fantastic and the staff, were excellent. We had Oysters, Bisque, the Monkfish special followed by creme brulee and a cheese board. A couple of cocktails rounded of a perfect evening. Can’t wait to go back."

"We came at 7:30 pm and asked kindly for a table, there have been 3 free tables. He told us to come back at 8:15 pm, not very kindly and in a hurry. We came back in time, the same tables were free but the waitress told us that they don’t take anyone for today anymore. She has been kind but he didn’t wanted to explain. We felt not welcome and we had to leave and get somewhere else. Difficult at the late hour."

"On Saturday for lunch and sitting outside. it was very busy, but well spaced so that our exciting dog had space to stay calm. water dishes were provided. serving the young girl was polite, friendly and fast. we had excellent fried, delicious fish and chips, worth the money. we also bought some tablet to take home and it was yam, soft and melt in mouth; the best I had. would definitely return."

"Too many things to list, but the fact there was a function on in the hotel which was directly underneath the bedrooms , and the restaurant was closed are but just rwo. The noise from the function carried on until nearer 1 in the morning. Had we been made aware of this at the time of booking we could perhaps made other arrangements. As for breakfast! That was continental, which we knew at the time of booking but the choice was poor and on short supply. Despite my efforts to make contact with this hotel to discuss the matters my emails have been ignored and no one is answering the telephone or replying to my messages I have left. Definitely not good enough for Scottish hospitality."
