"Lovely Sunday dinner and great service. The chefs Ant and Cody worked wonders in the kitchen and we enjoyed a great roast beef dinner with fab roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings topped off with a sticky toffee pudding to die for."

"A beautiful bar and restaurant with magnificent view and a beer garden. the risotto was delicious and a very large part. they have a separate veggie and vegan menu. Vegan options are limited, I would prefer vegan options personally."

"Booked twice for here cancelled on me at the last minute thus ruining two days off. Not even an apology or willingness to enter into any dialogue by the owner. I used to visit quite often and this was one of my favourite places now I wouldn’t waste my time or money. Happy to share a chronology and several emails if the owner wishes to dispute this review."

"Probably the best Italian food I had from italia. a small restaurant gives the atmosphere a very Italian feeling. the only minor complaining was one of the waiters was extremely unobtrusive and almost the money was deterred from us when we were gone and no mention of a thank or a partial message. he seemed more than happy to talk to the older people in the restaurant, but for some reason seemed to be there with the younger ones of us. it did not ruin the meal, but was not entirely what we expected"

"We chose Owens for our Golden Wedding celebration. Good choice, the staff were excellent, the food superb. Our meals were served quickly and efficiently. The gentleman who had helped us to organise the meal was great and very patient when I needed to make changes....Overall an excellent venue and meal, highly recommended."

"First visit last night, I cannot believe we have not tried this place before. We were really well looked after from the moment we arrived to the moment we sadly had to leave. Beautiful quality ingredients cooked with love and care. Additional bonus of brilliant live music on in the bar after we had finished our meal. Amazing evening, we cannot wait to return."

"Been to this restaurant on several occasions but not for a few years. Greeted by friendly waitress and taken to our table. First drinks arrived promptly, food was fairly good (sea bass fillets) Unfortunately it went down hill from there. It was busy and only 2 servers on shift therefore, service was slow and second drinks took 20 minutes to arrive from ordering. During our meal the waiter arrived whilst we were mid eating using hand gestures moving our table to accommodate an additional table without actually asking us, saying thank you as he was moving it and I was actually eating from my plate. The customers sat next to us actually looked shocked as the waiter did this. The table and chairs were so close to us that the customers back was literally touching our table. It was unpleasant and uncomfortable to say the least. The waiter came back to us after 20 minutes asking if we were ok, my husband pointed out that we weren’t happy due to this additional table being placed so close to us, he replied sorry and walked away. In my 40 plus years of dining out I have never, ever had a waiter move my table as I was eating. I cannot believe we actually let this happen and continued eating despite this rude behaviour. Verona, you overcrowded your eating area without a thought for you customers, shame on you!"
