"Decided to travel 8 miles to breakfast here. Mistake! Restaurant nice enough looking. Considering this was quite early and not many customers the toilet (yes only one could have been cleaner and smelling nicer. But to the breakfast. I did think about having the full breakfast and this may well have been nicer. I opted to have two breakfast rolls. The rolls were cheap and nasty, think of a six pack out of the cheap and reduced section of a supermarket. They were really bad. I had asked for the bacon on my rolls to have the fat removed and to be medium to well cooked. I received cindered bacon. The fat had not been removed but in an attempt to perhaps hide it the 2 very small rashers of bacon on each roll had been had been cremated (may it rest in peace! I left half of each roll and had removed the bacon onto the plate. The server did not how to manage this she did ask if everything was ok and tried to just walk away as I told her no! Would not return! Tom"

"I visited this venue along with family for my Grandad’s 80th birthday and could not fault it in any way, such high standards and quality. We were a party of 11 8 adults and 3 kids, and had our own private dining area which was really good. Food was excellent, I had the chicken with the brandy/peppercorn cream sauce which was cooked to perfection… just melted in your mouth. This was followed by a sticky toffee pudding which was delicious too. Service was great, and all staff were lovely and looked after us well. Look forward to returning in the future, thanks again."

"Just had food from here. £15 for sausage supper and chicken goujon supper. Wife had sausage supper, big container with decent (but not a lot) amount of chips. Sausage was lovely as were the chips. I had the goujon supper, smaller container with half the amount of chips. There was, at best, a half portion of chips with five goujons. Chicken was lovely but portion size is very disappointing. "The lido offers a relaxing atmosphere. the personal is very friendly and the decor is quirky and interesting. Eating is leaving. I had the calamari that was in order, Bit-Blande (the lemon aoili was delicious the chickenburger was a bit basic. it looked pretty, but in any case it needed a little more seasonal. the sections are also something on the small side. I would go back to try another dish, as the atmosphere is great."
