"After having a quiet drink in the beer garden we decided to have a meal and what a great decision that was. The food was really nice and inside a lovely traditional bar area. My wife has still bot stopped talking about her desert!!! All the staff we saw were very helpful, friendly and made the visit worthwhile. Both myself and wife are looking forward to another meal here in the future."

"Fantastic experience, it was so refreshing to find staff who obviously enjoy the work they do, especially Bev. Lots of smiling and laughing with all the customers, which made it so good. The food was excellent, nice that they also add the ability to double up on the pie, and it was full of meat something you don't get. I would highly recommend you will not be disappointed."

"Average food at high prices . Steaks were tiny , chips were frozen , haddock was dry and overcooked, starter bread was inedible as too hard . At no point did we have a check back , which is a basic standard in any restaurant. Distinct lack of any service or attention to detail on a Saturday night with the place very quiet. Shame really as lovely setting and building just need more focus on the customers and make the food amazing rather than run of the mill standard"
