What User doesn't like about Chinatown On Thayer: The staff is nice, the building is well-kept, and the portions are large. Unfortunately, the food is less than optimal. My vegetable lo mein had no vegetables in it. The General Tso 's chicken has absolutely no heat to it, and this from someone who thinks Frank 's Red Hot is hot. The Pan-Fried dumplings I ordered are pretty clearly deep-fried, and have never seen a pan. read more.

"DELICIOUS food and a cozy atmosphere.... with reasonable prices too! This was my first time to Providence and just googled this place. Worth every star! I had the Squid Ink Pasta and my co-worker the Ravioli Meatballs. We both loved our food... down to every last bite. I'd highly recommend."

"Great experience before the show at PPAC. Pesto shrimp pizza was great but I thought a bit more pesto would have moved it to an outstanding! Our waiter Wil was fantastic.. attentive but never intrusive , subtle sense of humor and efficient. I would ask for him again when I return . And we had the check paid with plenty of time to go to the theater. Fun, delicious start to the night!"
