"First timer, atmosphere outside nice but chairs very uncomfortable, inside was impressive but the food not so much. Staff was pleasant and accommodating but was not thrilled with Buffalo chicken dip. It was mushy no texture and bland pictured in skillet. Lobster mac same, tasteless and really no meat. Quahogs would have been good if not over cooked. Would probably return but order safer food like burger and fries."

"The place is usually pretty quiet which means the staff are always available and you are waited on well. It 's slightly annoying to they don 't have a beer menu, but they are more than willing to ready off all their cans if you ask. The food is fine. The fish chips says stout is used in beer batter, thankfully that is t true. They use beer still but something golden and lighter, stout would not pair well with a beer battered light fish."

"Due to how busy the tavern was, and since we were 3 adults with a small child, we chose to go to the Publick House restaurant for dinner Saturday night. We had reservations. We were seated at the same time another group was seated and a half hour later we were still waiting on any acknowledgement or even some water. The other table were now enjoying their drinks and appetizers. Finally a young man came to our table stating he would be our server, also informing us he was the bartender. He left to get our drinks and now we were stuck on a long wait again (we could see he was making drinks for other tables). When he came back we asked for a manager. When we explained our unhappiness to her, she blamed it on a large party on the other side of the room, and that explains to us we have no value even though it was a 3 course minimum restaurant. She apologized and helped serve after that, but no comp for our inconvenience was even offered! Needless to say, we cannot recommend!"

"I thought here was an impossible burger with frits and fried pimples. Happy. The portions were perfect, the price was reasonable and the food was delicious. Waitress was also sweet. I'd definitely come back here. The burger was a bit overcooked, but I was still satisfied with my experience."

"My wife and I have been loyal to 99 for 20 years it was always our go-to, we always knew we could get a good meal a couple of drinks at a fair price and leave there with a full belly. Our last three visits there have been nothing short of disappointing the portions have gotten smaller the quality has not been as good. We were there about a week ago and I mentioned it to one of the waitresses and she had told me that due to the increase in prices of everything they're charging the same with making smaller portions I had beef tips the other day and I thought by mistake I ordered the kids portion I was very disappointed as a result of this we will no longer be patronizing the 99 we would rather pay the difference in price and get the same portions. As usual the wait staff and everybody that was working there was wonderful"
