"So many of my new favourite products come from the bodyshop. I love especially the BB cream that is perfect on its own or as a basis for makeup and is 100% vegan and cruelty free. 99% of the products in the body shop are vegan and they have a new line of facial care, all 100% vegan as well. the staff is really friendly and helpful in this industry to check all the questions."

"Super friendly staff and know what they sell! one of the best things is that nothing is tested on animals. 80% of the products are vegan and the other 20% is vegetarian. the products are not too expensive, I bought shampoo and conditioner and was really amazed how good they were both and how great they smell. will buy for all my hair and body care products from here now!"

"I pre wrote this on the 12th February and some one alerted me to an article on the yourthurrock website that mentioned the landlord was defiant that the golliwogs were staying. This was also reported in the Daily Mail, The Daily Star and the Metro. To the council employee who sent a complaint to Thurrock Council I commend you. It’s why I am publishing this review. I went into this establishment on Saturday 20th January with a friend of mine and met people there. Not too long into the night I notice this display of golly toys here. Let’s be clear here these toys are blackface minstrel dolls, which are caricatures of a black people. A caricature is something that imitates a person or a group of people with certain characteristics to create a certain effect. In case of a golly toy it is the skin, lips and hair plus the clothes, which are same as blackface minstrels, which were used to make an appearance of a black person and mock them for it. Many black people have been bullied and harassed just for the way their hair, skin and lips are naturally and to see an item that just trivialises them like a teddy bear is downright disrespectful. Remember in the late 1800’s the author Florence Kate Upton named this doll Golliwog. I know there are other theories but I haven’t seen any prove of them. At this time Great Britain was very racist as this was the same century where slavery was continued in various countries for the benefit of the racist British Empire until the abolition act. I can still see Great Britain is racist today. Some people who I was hanging around with noticed I was bothered by it and said it did seem like we were in 1921 and were surprised to see such a item. To see this in Thurrock the borough where I live horrifies me and reminds me of my own experiences of racism. I won’t be coming to this establishment again. I realise most people wouldn’t care about this. I guess people are fine with racist symbols in a pub as long as you can drink in it."
