"I found the food to lack authenticity. The briyani was overly moist and the rice used was short-grained as opposed to the long grain which I am more accustomed to in a briyani. The bindhi dupiaza was unique. It was simply fried with garlic and onions and tasted more like a stir-fry dish. The curries also were too mind and lacked flavour. The naan, the tandoori dishes and the paddadam were ok though. The restaurant was very clean and the prices were reasonably."

"The service at the restaurant was very good and friendly. We went with kids and it's a very child friendly. The food was overall very good. I thought my pizza could have been a bit more cheesy though. Would recommend going here. Price was also very acceptable considering we had starters and dessert as well."

"Very pleasant restaurant the food is good, tasty and enjoyable and comes out fairly quick after ordering. Sitting near the door can be a little off putting with the number of take away orders especially if it is cold outside. It is appreciated that these are challenging times and restaurants have to go to great lengths to create business the number of orders indicates this is a popular restaurant. The staff are not always as attentive as they could be, as one ends up having to wave a number of times in order to get some service. Apart from this, I'll definitely be visiting this restaurant again!"

"I must assume that the other reviews have been planted for samrat! eating is incredibly mediocre (especially in comparison to nearby restaurants) and the service is terrible. our poppadome were average, with two from a glass chutneys that were much too sweet. the curry was hard and tasteless, and again a lot too sweet. and the service was rude and not helpful. I have been doing too much for years and always had amazing experiences; this was the exception and is not better (and worse) than standard British Indian tariff. really disappointed."
