"It was national cheeseburger day, so I decided to take my wife out to Fred's Texas Cafe. I am embarrassed to say I was born and raised in Fort Worth and have never eaten a burger at Fred's! We learned what we have been missing! It opened in 1976, one year before I was born, and in those 45 years, they have most definitely learned how to make the best hamburger in Fort Worth! I had the Diablo burger, it was the perfect amount of spicy, and we had it Fred sized for 3 dollars more! It was incredible! And the loaded fries, wow, loaded indeed with deliciousness!!! We will be coming back to try other hamburgers! They had live music on the patio, but my wife and I found a table inside; we enjoyed it a little more private. Parking is a challenge; plan on that."

"Went towards closing on Sunday, but they welcomed me in and took the order. It was my first time and they gave great recommendations. Settled on the fried chicken with sides of Red Beans and Rice and a Cup of Gumbo. Gumbo was excellent with two large shrimp on it. Red beans were equally as good and flavorful. Now onto the fried chicken. This wasn?t some regular fried chicken. This had to be marinated, then coated with spices, then hand battered in a delicious batterthat was fried perfectly crispy on the outside leaving the tender juicy meat inside perfect. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Cajun cuisine (I?m from SWLA) no before food photos because I ate it all ????"
