"We walked to this village pub and decided to have food. The drinks were a fair price, and there appeared a decent menu. We had some chicken fillets to start, which were okay. However, the mains are very dreadful. The chips on both meals looked as though they had been fried ten times, simply burnt as was the fish which was simply inedible. The excuse for mushy peas was dry and bland. The gammon was overcooked, and both meals were saturated with salt but no condiments on the outside table. The lady serving was pleasant enough, and we gave feedback. She advised the locals don't go anymore I won't be going back either. Part of the excuse was that they didn't decide the food Punch Taverns agreed on the menu that was irrelevant as no matter how good the food was it was massively overcooked and laced with salt."

"Here is the best fish and chip restaurant in the center of durham. Many of the inhabitants who live close seem to visit here regularly. so when they visit here during high school and weekdays in the regular many people. I saw there was a take-out service. I got my fish and chips very fast, and it was well roasted. one of the best fish was cod. I only ordered a small size of cod, but it was huge! if they had their meal here, it would be very full and happy. I will visit here regularly"

"Nice local caffe. the bagelburger is delightful and so are the freshly made vegan sausage rolls. I like it as they are paired with a beautiful salad, it makes the £6 worth it. I tried the chocolate cake that was somewhat dry and the only other vegan cake option is lemon drizzle. I don't know why they added meat to the menu, that was one of the only veggie caffes in durham, so it doesn't really make me sense, but fair to give the human options. could really be improved by the inner restyling and a few more vegan cakes or baked options."

"This is the typical restaurant that is being sold as Spanish but that it is absolutely not. The menu includes names of typical Spanish dishes that have been modified in their essence by unsuitable Latin American ingredients. It’s basically a fusion mess…neither Spanish nor Latin...American, but for a very few dishes. The waitress was lovely but the other guy, who seemed to be one of the managers was just as unpalatable as some of the fusion food. Plus his high tone voice corrupts any meal… They should either go all the way with the Spanish food or change for good for the Mexican, Central American, or (if they dare) the Peruvian… And, for Heaven’s sake, silence the guy, keep him busy doing something else in the far end of the restaurant!"
