"This looks like a family run eatery, very much in the café mode. The Singapore fried rice was very stodgy. I am not sure if it is supposed to be so sticky, but it did not find favour with me. There were hardly any prawns or chicken in the dish. The separate curry sauce was the equivalent of a very lumpy gravy. Very uninspiring. I was thinking of going back at some time to give it a second chance, but on reflection, will not."

"We chose Hakka’s for our wedding anniversary meal, as we wanted something special. We were very pleased with the whole experience. This is a high quality restaurant. Like other high quality restaurants, and in contrast with more mediocre ones, the ingredients are all fresh. This means that the range of what can be ordered depends on what has been bought in. As with other very good restaurants, what makes it first class is the quality of the dishes provided. We had the seafood salt and chilli platter for two to start, the best example of this dish we had ever had. This was followed by two exquisite seafood dishes (one scallop and one prawn), with an egg fried rice that made us realise that even this staple dish can be done better than one is used to."

"I visited here on Saturday 19th of February and was absolutely amazed. My husband and I were in Cambridge for a trip away and were told to try the sea tree. The food was amazing! I had the seafood risotto which was to die for. My husband had cod and chips which was also spot on. The portion sizes were more than enough which was lovely to see that you get your money’s worth! We had a beautiful bottle of white wine served with our main. The environment was made super welcoming and friendly by the chatty and smiley waitress who couldn’t do enough for us. Even though the place was full it didn’t seem hectic or chaotic. All the tables looked to be having a lovely time. Overall the food was incredible, the service was enthusiastic, positive and welcoming and the atmosphere of the place was lovely to see. We couldn’t stop talking about what a lovely place we had found. Will definitely be returning and recommending to lots of people!"
