"This is for the new location in Upland! Had the catfish, tilapia, sautéed chicken strips with brown gravy, collards, mac and cheese, red beans and rice, peach cobbler and that sweet tea. ALL of it was flavorful and cooked very well! Prices were a bit high and the fish portions were a bit small, BUT otherwise and overall, we left satisfied with the quality and quantity. The menu has a good variety of stuff and I will DEFINITELY be back to try everything on it. We need more family owned places like this where you can taste the difference! I’ve seen some criticism and I get it. But they’re new and they’re clearly getting things together. In a time when it’s easy to walk into a food place and get subpar food, disinterested staff, and just a poor experience, I’m thankful places like this have to guts to still put themselves out there. This is a restaurant to support!"

"It’s good for what it is, it’s not bad in any way but it feels like there’s something missing. Not just missing but also it feels like something that shouldn’t be there is. I don’t know how to explain it but it feels like something’s missing. I’m not sure if it’s the sauce or anything else. But for sure there’s something off about the sauce and cheese. It just tasted off, like fake. It tasted like some type of artificial flavoring. Still think it’s good for what it is and for how much it costs."
