I just returned from the Culinary Escapes Cutting Edge Cuisine tour of Royal Oak - I am stuffed, happy, and dreaming of my next food tour.
I attended the Culinary Escapes Downtown Detroit tour last Saturday and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of the event.

"Jajangmyeon- I never had jajangmyeon with udon noodles? it was very different. Wish they would call it jajang udon instead. Korean fried chicken- could be double fried as it was rather doughy. Dragon Roll- good; portion was rather small. Overall was average. I liked how they had the right amount of banchan. Place looked clean and Korean music added a nice touch."

"The owners and the staff are incredibly friendly. This is honestly the best sushi place I've ever been too, and that's including the big one in Novi. They get all their ingredients fresh daily, and are very proud of their quality. I have to say, best place ever."

"Just discovered this local coffee shop! Such a homey vibe and the people that served us were very kind! My brown sugar latte was amazing, and my husband and I enjoyed their breakfast bagel and a panini. You can tell everything is made fresh. We absolutely loved our experience and will come back again!"

"A hidden jem a closer for us to stop and stay away from the orange cone. We walked in 3 mins before opening hour but this guy was very nice. We had an excellent coffee and sweet tooth."
