All reviews for Jen's Place Cafe from all websites. The restaurant offers good food (4 stars) and is one of the best restaurants in Mount Alexander.

There's nothing terribly exciting about this place.

Items ordered: Nachos and small Hawaiian pizza Tasted terrible, I'd be embarrassed to serve these up at home, let alone paying customers.

Coffee is OK but food is very ordinary. Eggs are powdered. Service is non-existent. Really not up to scratch and I won't be back.

We went to Jens Cafe for lunch recently & it was very crowded with not a lot of space. The food was yummy, but I do think the design / set up, could be improved...

Popped in for a coffee which was brilliant as was the hot chocolate small quiet place but the food looked really good

"Recent changes to this eatery had kept me away, but looking for take away for the family one night and picked up a menu... phoned my order ahead, and went in to collect. Food was ready, a quick run down on the new business model and I was good to go! Food was amazing, as it has always been. So no disappointments here!"

"When a fly literally drops in the patrons coffee as you place it in front of them no matter what irrespective of what the customer says show some self respect, respect for your patron, reputation, other oatrons watching and so on and make another coffee. You're in the wrong job and perhaps on the wrong planet otherwise.Good chips Aioli scrambled eggs good, nice sourdough bread confused about the description of the dish what was put in front of me 3 slices of red chilli on the scrambled eggs is chilli eggs? My better half describes the hot chocolate as nothing special, however the Bacon egg roll gets a thumbs up.Finally, how do you literally seem to house every fly in Castlemaine within your Cafe when there are none outside?Coffee weak unfortunately I know coffee.Nice front facade reasonable pleasant enough inside apart from the flies.Just remembered, totally understand welcome service dogs anywhere not a fan of a random dog on the floor where I eat, nor was my better half or daughter.We stand by this review 100% I just bumped from 1 star to 2 stars out of the goodness of my heart."

"The white bean and sweet potato burger was really good. the large pub also serves a delicious sweet salad. not sure about the drinks, but sitting outside was really nice on a summer night. friendly staff, relaxed place."

"Ornate chandelier hanging from a steel beam warehouse inside seating resembles a saloon car on the Orient Express, carnival style striped awnings the usual Cafe seating outside might sound like an almighty clash but it does add to the charm of this Austrian Cafe in Castlemaine. Recommend the Debreziner. I would give hot choc a miss it was ordinary. You get a rousing welcome by usherer outside staff are great dressed the part."
