We stopped by after a great dinner at Pho Saigon Restaurant for some ice cream for desert. The drive through window is interesting in that you place your order at the same one that you get your food at (kinda like the old days), and the menu is nearly impossible to see from your car, but the gal at the window with the tattoo covered arms was nice enough to field our questions. Foster's Freeze from Oxnard is the perfect place if you want to sample fine American courses like burgers or barbecue, They also present delicious South American menus to you in the menu. "After coming here over a month ago, I went to a bunch of other BBQ places and declare this my favorite BBQ place in the county. They definitely have properly smoked meat. Favorites are pork ribs, hot links and brisket. Pulled pork is good. I didn’t care for the tri tip and chicken (I never seem to like BBQ chicken from anywhere and it doesn’t help that it’s white meat) and garlic bread is just ok but everything else is so very good. I keep missing out on the beef rib special and want to also try the burnt ends now that I’ve been there 3x and had almost every main item. The young woman that works the counter has such a positive attitude that it’s really uplifting. Prices are very reasonable especially for the quality."
