"Went for dinner last night, wow! Could hardly move afterwards we were so full! The size of the godfather burger is unbelievable and tastes absolutely amazing definitely recommend this one for the ravenous!! Southern fried chicken burger was perfect! The homemade brownie and crumble was phenomenal, my husband couldn’t believe it was homemade!! This isn’t the first time we have eaten here and won’t be the last! The food here is consistently brilliant, you won’t be disappointed!"

"Travelled to Alton from Midlands to visit family and booked lunch. This was the second time we have eaten at the French Horn and again we were not disappointed. Food was very nice and good value. The young Waitress that served us was very pleasant...and nothing was to much trouble. Will most certainly book again on our next visit to family"

"I now live in the USA, but I grew up in Farringdon and have seen many owners of this pub come and go over the years. I have fond memories of sitting with my parents and siblings, sipping lemonade and eating cheese onion crisps in the pub garden every summer. Each landlord has brought their own distinct flair to The Rose Crown--the pub has always been a steady, consistent village staple. The current owners seem very welcoming and friendly, and have introduced regular special events that I don't think existed before to create community and belonging--quiz nights, Gin Wednesdays, a themed New Year's Eve event, etc. Sadly, I didn't manage to eat here during my short stay--they were closed for a private party on the one night I tried to have dinner there. Wish I'd been able to--the dining room was full every time I was there, and the food looked and smelled delicious. But my family went several times over the holidays for drinks, and it was everything a village pub should be--cozy and welcoming, with good beer and friendly staff. The music was a little loud the first time we went, but other than that, everything was great."

"After a long car ride, parked in front of the hotel. submitted to book, welcomed by a friendly fun and helpful young man. ask for the parking space and received perfect simple instructions to follow. we were in our room and were very satisfied. the room was warm and beautifully decorated. everything was very clean and we were very impressed. I have the fact that there were hot chocolate bags in the room, as we don't drink tea or coffee. additional bonus of a few small packs of cookies. very welcome after our journey. on the double bed very good sleep, very comfortable in the did. morning breakfast, we sat immediately and told ourselves that we help the buffet part of the breakfast, the perfect selection of müsli, juice, fresh fruit, toast and various jams and jams, also yogurt with fruit compote as well as some Danish bucks. when we sat back, we were asked about our cooked breakfast, which came after the conclusion of our müsli perfectly a few minutes. it was very good. how refreshing to have decent quality sausage and more than enough on the plate. also offered tee and coffee. overall it was a very comfortable stay with beautiful rooms great eating and friendly staff. I would recommend this hotel....absolutley!"

"I have to publish with a totally unfair review, about a week before this supplement! I know the owners well enough to know from experience as cyclists that they are not in the least anti-rider. we cyclists can be a pain on the back, and yet the owners and the entire staff could not be more friendly or accentuated towards us. far away, sweating about cars to knock cyclists out of bikes, it is much more likely that friendly and attentive advice about how dangerous the connection that is close to the past riders would agree to the unhealth that they have helped. beautiful people, very cyclist-friendly in the did, beautiful environment!"

"New management has added vegan options to the new menu, and they depend on to accommodate their customers. that is, veganism is a relatiw new concept for this little landdorf! a step in the right direction and we are happy to support them the vegan Slav chips were particularly amazing, the moving mountains burger vegan Brioche beunge were great!"
