The fried oysters with a side of warm spinach mushroom bacon salad was fabulous in the perfect retro way! Add a nice cocktail to remember for a lunch. "Mack Kells changed ownership after decades of great success. Having been a member since it opened in 1981 I feel a personal connection with many of the regulars there. In plain terms tonight SUCKED. The new owner had an entire staff of mostly overweight, inexperienced male table servers. The bartender was fabulous, but stayed in the weeds hampered by the inexperienced waitstaff. My burger was overcooked, my fries were undercooked and the waiter never checked on our table after the food came except to present the check. After I paid my bill using a credit card I had to ask for a copy of my receipt which I thought was sketchy at best. DOUBT I 'LL EVER BE THERE AGAIN."

"I stopped by to have a cocktail and app with my Papillon Melrose. The wait staff were incredible walking me through the parking lot process AND she gave Melrose a Pup Cup which is a little cup with some whipped cream substance. Melrose loved it and the attention that she was given while she was there. Even though I sat on the back deck area since I had my dog, I still felt like I was in the whole atmosphere of the pub. Great experience!"
