"Quirky venue this place is just as he says on the line. an old fashion barge converted for on board and on river banks. the menu is not long because the more galereed would not allow it, but the selection meets most needs of people. owner and youthful. the owner is very passionate about her caffe. I started with a huh laksa, beautiful when gently seasoned and had a baguette with breakfast ingredient inside. good speck herby sausage and i.e. my mint hot chocolate was very exhausting. my partner had healthier but also delicious food. the inner of the barge still seems very authentic. friendly chatty staff, would recommend."

"Give this one a miss! We were catfished by all the amazing online reviews and were so excited as we’d even had to book over a week in advance just to get a table for Sunday lunch. Worst roast we’ve ever had! Dark and dingy inside. Wait staff were sweet and polite but slow and didn’t seem to know what was available on the menu. Lunch service started at 12pm and by 2pm they had already run out of multiple items on the menu. The food was shockingly bad. They didn’t have any of the starters we chose so we opted for the cod cake as a second choice, which was still partially frozen in the middle and had to be sent back. The roasts themselves were tragic. We opted for the lamb and the beef. The meat on each dish was tough and overdone, the vegetables were all bland and had turned to mush from being overcooked (no bite left in them at all , the yorkshire was dry and dense, and the gravy was some sort of bisto like monstrosity. To add insult to injury the prices are outrageous for such poor quality cookery and atmosphere. Prepare to pay north of £20 per roast (not including drinks/ starters etc. . Suffice it to say we will not be returning."

"I cannot praise the Kings Arms more highly. We had a memorial for my mum and all the staff were excellent. From helping with the parking to customising the menu, the experience couldn’t be have been improved. The manager was everywhere (on his day off) and he dealt with the whole event with sensitivity, kindness and efficiency. A wonderful pub and restaurant."

"I booked the table for my partner and myself, always good there for a wonderful Sunday lunch, lovely staff, good service, plenty on our plate, we never have extras as its too much for us. But like to say the stuffing balls and the cauliflower cheese always tempting. Sometimes we share a dessert, but usually im full up."
