"Happened to be in the Schlesisches Tor area, looking forward to going to Burgermeister for a great burger when I noticed this new place a block and a half away. I 'm always for the underdog, so I thought I 'd give Burger Steig a chance. Big Mistake! It 's a tiny place, and sparsely decorated but if the burgers are great who cares! The burgers are NOT great, far from it. I got a chili cheeseburger. Yes, there were jalapenos, yes there was a spicy sauce, a bun, some form of meat patty and lettuce lots and lots of lettuce. Lettuce was all I could taste, so I took most of the heaping pile of leafy green off, and I could finally taste the meat. That 's when I discover why so much lettuce: the beef was awful! Tasteless and Rubbery. The fries were adequate just. And to think, for the same price I could have been savoring a truly delectable burger and awe inspiring fries at Burgermeister, just a block and a half away! So much for the underdog. What a mistake!"
