"I went on a Saturday morning to breakfast with some friends. there were people on food service who try to serve a snake of customers and cook the food at the same time. we wanted to run out an breakfast and food items... so they constantly told customers to wait while they did something. Saus Saus did not look boiled out and broken ice looked like it had been there for some time since it has a crystalized look. my friend got a teller with selected items, but then had to wait about minutes until toast meant that the food she gave her on the teller went cold. when we wanted to pay, we had to wait for someone who served on the food-snake cooking to go and to the time to serve us. they wanted to recharge my friend twice for their breakfast! we have said, if we want to eat breakfast again in birmingham, we go somewhere else and avoid there like the plague. oh, and after we used the toilets, they were disgusting. bad enough to bring our breakfast almost back up. great smell, toilets roll all over the floor, and dirty toilets that looked like they haven't cleaned for a while. my friends and I will not visit this place again."

"Words cannot describe this place, right from the word go we were the first ones through the door and we were welcomed by several various members of staff which set the tone for the night! The waiters and waitresses were perfect all night along with the wine pourer giving bang on descriptions of each paring.. The food was outstanding and each dish literally took our breaths, compliments to all the chef and the team for making my birthday meal as perfect as could be! Fine fine dining just without the London prices! Perfect atmosphere and layout I can't fault anything!"

"One of the best meals I've ever had! I've been fortunate enough to dine at several Michelin star restaurants and the Wilderness is on par for me food wise with almost anything I've eaten. I love the chef's focus on variety spectacular vegetable, fish and dessert courses as well as meat dishes. The drinks pairings were spot on, the service faultless and the atmosphere is so cool and relaxed. Great music selection too. My favourite restaurant in Birmingham and beyond."

"Shhh! An absolute gem of a place. High end fine dining, every dish is superb but also works well with the previous dish. Great value lunches, refined wine list and fantastic friendly service. "Warm welcome and attentive staff throughout. All four of us had different main meals and enjoyed our food which was piping hot. Nice atmosphere and as there wasn't anyone waiting for our table, we were allowed to stay drinking at the table until we were ready to leave. An enjoyable visit."

"Went with my wife who eats fish and I'm a meat eater. But completely blown away by the flavours these guys create! We had the 8 course tasting menu didn't do the wine flight but had a couple of pairings that worked beautifully! Expresso to finish with a gorgeous hand made chocolate that were made by one of the guys that served us both of whom were consumately professional. Highly recommended"
