"A rather traditional pub with a potentially lovely sun room. The food is very good, the staff are helpful and friendly and the prices are reasonable. The only distraction is the decor/ambience, especially in the sun room area, which is where we sat. It was clean, there was no doubt about that, it was comfortable no arguments there, but it felt a little in need of some minor love and attention. A couple of examples, the window blinds, you are sitting in what is, in effect, a conservatory, could do with replacing, they don't look dirty, not in the slightest, just tired. Equally the outside space, which you look out on, needs a bit of attention, broken pavings labs, that kind of thing. A few quid, a bit of time and a little imagination would work wonders. I must stress again, the food and the Service are excellent."

"Decent venue for a concert, pretty clean and plenty of security during the show. It is a small venue, but you feel more connected with the performance, masks are supposed to be worn indoors at all times, however it seems to be more at will due to the crowd size, lots of people without a mask and lots of people with a mask on. There is a small upper floor section which offers some seating and just more room to keep away from the heavy crowds. Overall we had a pretty decent experience, I'd definitely recommend this place."

"6 of our family members went to the ball house for dinner today. We weren't disappointed, there was a range of food for us with different needs. The lady on the front was wonderful and very helpful. We will definitely be going back, Highly recommended this place to everyone."

"Treated the family for lunch for vaters day and had an amazing meal. the flower cheese was amazing, veg and meat perfectly cooked, and the yorkshire puddings were bigger than our youngest head! after numerous visits we finally managed to pudding, but was too full for 1 everyone so divided and happy that we did as the portions are huge. the children shared the warm fudge cake and ice, while the adults shared a wad with ice, banana and caramel/toffee sauce. yummy!"

"My group of ten friends enjoyed a lovely dinner at Grill 23 in their private dining alcove on a busy Saturday night. We had excellent cuisine cocktails, wine, appetizers, a variety of steak, vegetables, desserts. The service was exceptional. This was a decades long tradition of annual dinners, last dining here in the 1980's. We've enjoyed many fine restaurants that are no longer around, attesting to the quality of Grill 23."
