"Decent for a small Cafe. Don't count on getting an expansive breakfast menu to choose from. Lunch, and a light Dinner is about the best they have to offer there. Most of the items to choose from are pre made and ready for quick sale. Fortunately you can get them to make you a sandwich if you prefer that over a chilled sandwich in a refrigerated display case. Coffee is available as soon as you walk through the doors to your right hand side. Don't expect to get anythingfree here though. They have inside seating and a small outside seating area also. There is a microwave you can use at your convenience."

"Service was nice and fast. Emma was very sweet and attentive. We have fried the banana, roasted green tomatoes, strawberry white chocolate pancakes, lower hash and baked avocado with eggs. Everything was delicious. On the back porch, which was away from other guests, my children let themselves feel comfortable when they take off their masks. Oh, and the bathroom tile is beautiful! It is an old home and the atmosphere is charming! Very recommended for a celebration or a special treat!!"

"Atmosphere was solid, service was good, and food was tasty. However, the reason for the low rating is the comically small portion sizes. My wife ordered butternut risotto and received maybe a half cup for $20. She's a light eater and commented on how little food was served. I ordered the $40 grilled bison steak, which again tasted great but it was a couple thin slices of meat served with maybe four small fingerling potatoes and a couple small pieces of broccoli. No sort of bread served with the entrees. I literally was still hungry when I left which is rare for me. I will say one person in our party got a hamburger which seemed reasonable for $15. But unfortunately won't be returning based on value."

"It’s taken days to get over how truly revolting the food was at the Pink Grouse. I met up with friends from afar in Charlottesville (stayed at Quirk) so our dinner of the evening should’ve been exceptional. With the very limited menu, pricing, beautiful ambiance, I had high hopes. Every meal was not just subpar, they were gross. I got the fish dish with potatoes asparagus. It tasted like a very average lean cuisine. The vegetables were barely cooked there was no sauce or flavor. My fish was thin dry. Our server rarely checked in but when he finally did, I asked for salt pepper which made little impact. My friends got the oyster mushroom dish (gag) the linguini (the best of the 3 but was swimming in water from the mussels). The server never removed our dish ware the crumbs from our appetizer, which seems odd in a place where dishes are around $40/plate. I wish I could reverse time go to one of the dozens of wonderful restaurants Charlottesville has to offer instead of the Pink Grouse."
