"We went here for the bottomless brunch as a group of 4. All the staff were so friendly and really accommodating! Everyone always had a drink in their hands and the food was delicious! "This pub in the centre of Colchester is rightly a well-respected real ale and eating establishment. I visited this pub on Monday, 18th Alril 2022 Pub is well known as it Serves very good beers on Handpumps This pub has a distinctive ambuance to the interior, which makes for a peacefull easy drinking experience Staff is also very polite Next door, its sister pub like this one is a must to visit when in colchester Thursday 11th January 2024 I again came to this pub for a sample of its hand pumped ales Today, the choice was not as good as the previous visit, but it was still a good choice, and my real ale was a dark chrismassy ale which was lovely It has a friendly, family orientated atmosphere with easy-going background music The pubs intwrior and bar is the same as my last visit. Coffee is served to customers, and the staff today were friendly and helpfully recipient"

"Really out on a limb so far as Canvey is concerned, I decided to walk and it took quite a time from the town, without many interesting landmarks. When you get there it's all fine good beer reasonable food. Kind of what you expect in any country pub. Service maybe a little brusque but effective. Seems popular and from what I saw, better than most on the island."

"Alishan tandoori is one of the best Indian takeaway in the colchester range. everything I order from an Indian restaurant or takeaway is pilau rice and lamb madras and alishan makes the best in colchester. I've never been disappointed by them. their take-away service is fast and reliable. I recommend alishan tandoori in colchester."
