"My children, 9 and 5, absolutely loved the lodge. We flew in from out of state and the staff was helpful about holding our luggage upon arrival since we did not have a car to store our things in. We stayed 3 days and 2 nights. It was not enough time and there were many things we had to skip. We spent two half-days in the water park. My older son loved the ropes course, even in 104 degree heat! We stayed during the week so the lines were not so bad. The water was cold at first but after about 15-20 minutes we got used to it! We stayed in a Wolf Den Suite with a balcony and my kids were beyond thrilled with it. There was plenty of space. they loved having their own room and the balcony was actually used more than we thought. It was fun to watch the planes landing at DFW as well. Food here is just okay and a bit pricey. We ate all our meals on site since we did not have a vehicle to go offsite whenever we felt like it. One complaint I have is that there is nothing healthy other than a few small salads. Lots of fried and cheesy food. So it was tough for my husband to find something to eat because he cannot eat most of the food onsite. Overall it was a very expensive few days but well worth the happiness and joy I saw in my children! We plan to visit another location in the future."
