"Right, if you can put the dodgy 70s’ carpet to one side and focus on the food, this is the place for you. Yes, the pub is shabby, but the welcome is warm and the curries amply portioned and delicious. Following the advice of friends, we opted not to order a starter: they had visited earlier in the week and found there was simply too much food to dispatch comfortably. The pub was busy, so there was a bit of a wait for the food to arrive, but when it did we were not disappointed: my Lamb Methi was spicy, but fragrant and my wife’s House Biryani was packed with tender prawns, lamb and chicken. We were told that people drive from as far away as Wolverhampton to sample the food here and can well believe it!"

"This visit was a let down to previous visits. It wasn't busy but there were a lot of tables that hadn't been cleared. We had to move 3 times before we found a table and area that had been cleaned properly. The main food arrived after a small delay and was edible but when my dessert (crumble) arrived it had a weird burnt smoky taste even though it didn't look burnt. I was going to mention it to staff but two other people were already complaining about their food so left it. I am hoping it was a one off as I have never had a problem there before."
