"What a GEM! Vine and Plate is our new favorite haunt! The wine list is trim but exceptionally mighty (I don't think I've had a single glass there I didn't enjoy and the tapas is inspired. If you get a chance to go before they take the sea bass off themenu DEFINITELY make sure to try that. Also, if you have a pooch, they have a patio area and welcome well mannered dogs! :"

"We've been here twice now and the food has been good both times. A generous amount for the price and a wide selection of items to choose from. One night even had live entertainment. My only suggestion would be to have more wait staff. Both nights were busy and it took 10 15 minutes before a server stopped by the table after we were initially seated. On the 2nd visit, even the manager was waiting tables. The staff was very friendly and brought us everything we asked for more chips, water drinks, etc . For the amount of customers there on the busier nights, having another server or two would enhance the experience for everyone."

"This is my favorite place to eat in McHenry county, hands down!!! The environment is a little weird (huge space, never anyone in there), but the staff is so kind and the pho is INSANE. It’s fresh, homemade, and always on point. I really hope they stay in business because it is such a gem that no one knows about! "If you're looking for a quiet romantic spot this is not the place. It felt more like a sports bar with loud patrons disturbing the other diners as they watched a game. In my opinion not the type of ambiance for French bistro. Certainly a casual atmosphere including the employees. Appetizers the duck pate is excellent and I must try if you stop in. The escargot is also excellent, baked with a lite flaky bread blanked over the top for dipping, nice touch! The Baked Onion soup was pretty good just a little bit on the sweet side. Main Course loved the Duck leg and Duck sausage both were excellent prepared to protection. Note the sides were so so. Green beans were over cooked as were the carrots. The peppered steak was a bit chewy but seasoned well. The portions are large with reasonable pricing a bit unusual for French food. Give this one a try...no need to get dressed up jeans work!"

"We went there for my daughter's birthday. Food and service was excellent. We ordered a different dish, food was authentic and amazing. Also some drinks, a Paloma and Cantarito. They also had a children's menu. Our server was also excellent!"
