"My husband and I stopped in for a drink and some appetizers and we were thrilled! We sat at a booth by the bar, had a very pleasant waiter who recommended the mussels and Ceaser salad. So glad we went with his recommendations! Good size serving of mussels with lots of garlic, Chablis wine and butter broth, some orange peel and lemon. A couple of garlic toasts to absorb the broth were great too! Mussels were small and delicious. The ceaser salad had homemade croutons, shaves of Parmesan and a delicious dressing. We loved the mussels so much we went back the next night! Highly recommend!"

"Almost every thing is made on premise and their famous pepperoni is famous for nothing! Its the best in the land....Lots of other delicacies like smoked pork chops, sandwich loafs and too many others to list. Their ready made sandwiches (yes made on site) are great. A tradition in Halifax not to be missed."

"This geat little "hole in the wall" type place has fabulous coffee and is easy to walk to if you are staying anywhere around the historic Citadel Hill area. I was staying at The Lord Nelson hotel and was very happy to have been told about this place by a local fan."

"I went in today (April 26th, 2021 4:15 p.m. and the man who served me did not seem pleased to make my order. He slammed things, grabbed the veggies and literally threw them on my sandwhich. I mentioned to the gentleman he should work on customer service as this is a food establishment and left. I usually always have great customer service here but this gentleman but when Im being polite I expect it back. I didn't get a have a good day, do you want a receipt, nothing. I can tell you that if I ever return and he is working I will turn around and take my business elsewhere."
