"Having heard rave reviews about the brilliant steak that Blakes serve, my husband and I visited this evening. My husband had the worst steak ever. It was very fatty with a massive amount of gristle. The lamb shank wasn't much better, it had been cooked for so long the bones were soft and the red wine sauce was terrible. After all of the build up from friends, I don't think we will be returning and I wouldn't recommend to anyone."

"Was staying locally. Decided to go here for some food. Place is a little run down. Your usual Wetherspoons. Service was a little slow at points but is was busy. Ordered the Rump steak. Not a bad meal for the price. Would go again. Staff are polite and very helpful."
