"Came for a late breakfast and was not disappointed. there are many vegan options on the menu that are vegan used versions of their most popular dishes. we had an English breakfast and avocado on toast with whistling and then a big and soy flat white."

"This was a list minute trip as we travelled through Durham but we would definitely make the trip especially to come here. The place is beautiful, with fairy lights and a lovely log burner too. We ordered at the counter and the food was brought to us by very friendly staff who were attentive. The food was gorgeous too I had a prawn mayonnaise sandwich with a very generous helping of prawns. Could not rate this place more, would definitely recommend."

"It is one of my favourite places in Durham! The tea selections, scones, cakes, plates&cups and staffs...everything is nice there. It is true that the place is relatively 'petite ' and it is always crowded (sometimes, literally TOO crowded) but there is no better tea room in Durham.. so isn 't it fair enough?"

"The warm reception we got when we arrived at lunch was nice. we were shown on our table and then our waitress came and imagined that her name was ruth. such a lively and happy young lady. we asked for the lunch special menu, but then to say was not available until next week, which was a scandal, as was what we were there for!ruth our adorable waiter gave recommendation and she was not wrong, was ordered main menu. I had smoky and it was the best I had tasty. bob had dived duck and that was also exceptional our main was lamm brain pie and honey glazed bauch dick all washed with a beautiful bottle red then we went into the bar area a finished with a gin cocktail our today visit in this beautiful building all perfect the environment the whole detail the personal everything was fantastic thanks for a perfect day can not wait to visit again"
