"Just want to say I truly recommend this Italian takeaway, my family and I get takeaways a lot from here and always are very happy with the food and the service... I had ordered a delivery tonight I which I got pizza, pasta, I had called the shop to say did the pasta have meat in it as I thought I could taste meat as I'm vegetarian but they said no but sent me another's pasta but delivery which I never expected as it did taste amazing anyway I just wanted to make sure... So yeah I thought that was very kind of them and now have 2 delicious pastas!! I shall keep one for tomorrow"

"Went here the Friday before Xmas which is supposed to be the busiest night of the year. The restaurant was almost completely empty which is never a good sign. We decided to eat here anyway as we had already made reservations and thought might as well give it a try. Wish we had went to Bella Italia round the corner instead. There was no cheery greeting when we entered, the waiter just pointed to our table and wandered off. I love the atmosphere of most Italian restaurants, they always make a fuss of the customers, are usually funny, attentive, welcoming. Not in Pulcinella, there was none of that, the service was fairly efficient but what would you expect with hardly any other customers, there was one other table with people at it. The food was OK, not bad but definitely not great, most of the dishes I could make better myself. One person had the minestrone soup, it had huge pieces of cabbage and other vegetables floating in it, very strange. Not much else to say, food was OK, service was OK, atmosphere was non existent, just as well we had good company to dine with."

"Maybe they were too busy after the rugby, but service and eating was terrible, not one of our 10s party ended their meal, I left my steak after a mouth. wein was good, but kfc is just around the corner! very disappointing"

"By far the best Italian place we ate in the old! we accidentally came over them, drove the motor away on the route to our hotel, both hungry for food looking for the internet. when entering the restaurant we were already surprised by the rustic, domestic atmosphere. for beginners we had garlic bread with mozzarella, olive, antipasto vegetables and breesola burrata. each individual dish was as tasteful as the other. high quality, pure ingredients and great aromas. for the first time we had pizzas. I myself had the rucola, parma ham and parmesan cheese pizza. my fiancée had the diavola with extra gorgonzola. once again high quality ingredients. the perfect light and fluffy but cripsy pizza crust. and the toppings were added with the right balance of the taste. to think about dessert at all, we asked if there was an option to take dessert to go later in the evening. ten minutes later we had two removal containers with tiramisu with chocolate sauce and fresh top. great value for money, wonderful personal, beautiful atmosphere. the next time we visit edinburgh (from the lowlands) we will definitiw back to mia italian kitchen!"

"Fantastic service and even better food! From the beginning to the end, you cannot mistake this place! My friend and I came before football on Wednesday trying it for the first time, we had no booking and was immediately sat! Service was so fast, although after 10 minutes of us sat the place was full! The food was incredible, excellent value for money had 3 courses and went a treat! Well done guys keep the good work we will definitely be back!"

"Before touring the Edinburgh Castle on August 8th, 2022. All the restaurants along the Main Street were too busy to accommodate 7 persons and found Divinis was on a side street. Got right in and was treated like royalty. The food “authentic Italian” was superb! And the desserts, wow! What an experience! 5 stars are not enough!!"
