"Everything here (except the trout) is wild caught! They serve it fresh and hot. It is very popular so expect a wait during lunch or you can call ahead with your order. My only complaint is that the clam chowder is too thin and lacks any real flavor."

"McGrath's is my absolute favorite restaurant in Eugene! I take my mom and husband there all the time. The food and drinks are always wonderful, the manager stops by the table and takes the time to say hi, and buses tables with the rest of the staff, which always impresses me. It is always a delightful experience. I always sit in the lounge area, as I don't like sitting anywhere near children as a whole. I can watch the game while having a drink. They take great pride in the job they do, and take care of the customers. Even when it is something that is not their fault. I ordered a side dish and I didn't know it had tomatoes on it, so the waiter volunteered to send it back and have a new one made. That was not their fault, it is just something I don't eat. But the readiness to make a customer happy is wonderful. They are so helpful and happy to be there, serving you."

"The food is good and they have outdoor seating, but the area around where you order inside was remarkably very dirty. This is quite unusual for a food place and it makes me wonder how dirty it is where we can't see. The cash register was very friendly. We have the fried cod and the fried salmon. The cod was better. I recommend cod."
