"The girl that served us was so sweet and pleasant. We had a hot dog and a poutine. The gravy was out of this world. I was expecting package gravy but it had so much flavour. A hint of garlic. The canopy that is up creates a great sunshade and a tunnel for an enjoyable breeze. I would definatly take a drive out again for lunch."

"Very expensive, poor food. The burgers were under cooked, soggy, less than desirable. We raised our concerns with the staff and he was very rude to us. Pretty sure this is the old owner of the Sandbar Hotel....We would not return"

"I have been going to Lankys for quite some time now the service is always friendly and fast. The food is priced right and is always very good hot and tasty. I was there when they had a car show and I here they are going to put one on every year ."

"Have been twice in the last month. The first time we were told half way through the meal that they did not have any more pickerel considering the special is all you can eat pickerel, this is poor organization. We were told that we would only pay the lesser price for the regular pickerel dinner but that we would have to pay for our glass of wine which was included in the special which made the price more expensive in the end than had we received the all you can eat special. We argued and in the end we did not have to pay for the glass of wine but this should have been complimentary from the beginning as the restaurant did not fulfill its obligation in what we had ordered. Other minor difficulties made it an unsatisfactory meal, although the fish was tasty. We returned several weeks later once the kitchen was more prepared for the summer tourist season. We did receive the all you can eat pickerel but the price jumped to $18.95 and an alcoholic beverage was no longer included with the meal. This is a fair jump in price for a lesser meal. Service is so slow and disorganized that it takes about 40 minutes to receive a second portion of fish. Ladies, use a tray to bring water, salads and dessert instead of carrying things one at a time. A water pitcher would reduce the time it takes you to take one glass to the kitchen to refill for water. What a disorganized waste of time. Servers are friendly but so inefficient. Dessert was so tiny it was almost embarrassing. It was much better last year. The fish though is very nicely cooked and tasty. We sat at a table beside the washroom door. Every time the door opened you could smell the Lysol like cleaning material as it would waft over our table. Did not add to the flavour experience. I don't think we will be back this summer. Too bad as there is great potential but lots of improvement is needed."
