"This place is amazing. We have eaten at a few different restaurants in halifax and this one is by far the best! The food was incredable the staff are fantastic and the overall ambiance and fell of the restaurant was so inviting and comfortable. 100% will be spending my money here from now on!!"

"John's Lunch came highly recommended and definitely lived up to expectations. The location is great with ferry and bus access at Woodside and easily accessible regardless of where you're coming from. The service was prompt and really friendly. They know they're good but they are humble about it, and this is probably what makes them the best. The haddock was probably the best I've ever had and the rice pudding was great, too. I will definitely return in the future and I think you should too."

"So glad we found this gem of a breakfast place. My fiance and I were looking for a place to hide from the rain and we couldn't have asked for a more comfortable place to rest and dry ourselves!Food was tasty (I especially loved their butter toast ? and plentiful, coffee hot, and clean/cozy establishment.I would come back in a heartbeat ?"

"First time. Wide variety of meals. Their specialties are ribs and fried house chicken. had a half rack of thei ribs, tasteful, but meat was dried, not as mushy as the St-Hubert ones we have in Qc and missing some sauce. Friendly service"

"A very good restaurant in the interior of halifax. portions were large enough. all the meals we had there, where just perfect. prices very appropriate for the quality of food. "Attended a birthday party at Steak & Stein for a family member with approximately 18 people. They set up a "U" shaped table which was great to talk with everyone. The service was excellent, we had a young man who was very attentive and friendly. Had a wonderful time and would consider going here again for a birthday meal."
