"The service was good it must be said, but we're not rushing back. The fish and chips was ok, but not great and this is Hobart, where really good fish and chips should be possible. But it was ok. My husband's scallop pie he reported was ok, but not in the same street as others he had tried. You can eat in, which we did, and it was clean and comfortable, and reasonably priced."

"Chose this shop at random whilst staying in Bellerive. So pleased we did. The food was absolutely fresh and delicious and as an extra bonus, very hot! We were staying two nights and as it had been so good we did the same on the second night! Equally as good! Very friendly staff!"

"We escaped the Boxing Day crowd in the main shopping street and found this beautiful little place where we had delicious coffee, smoothies and tosties. Fucked avocado with almond on toast was great. The service was super....the shops were very friendly and caring! Very recommended!"

"The music theme was what drew me to try the Music Bar but it's the complete package that will ensure our return. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Had the $20 Plate and Pint. This is a steal when you consider the Shambles IPA (totally scrumptious) would cost you $13 on its own. Ingredients were really fresh and not overly sauced in the cooking. Desert menu was small but the pear crumble was fabulous and generous enough for two to share.We had lunch at 2.30 and had the place to ourselves.That's got to be because not enough people know about this just four week old entry into Hobart's crowded food and drink scene. Hope patronage picks up as I'd be upset for the owners and staff who have got things so right if the venture were to fail for lack of clientele. Haven't even talked about decor and atmosphere but as the name would suggest it's all about music which as the Bard said is "the food of love"."

"Was craving some Italian food as it had been awhile since the last time so decided to finally try out Maldini's. I had heard good things about the place so it was time to try it out for myself. The staff were friendly from the get-go and was at my table in no time. It was around 6:30pm so the place was packed which added to the atmosphere. The waitress did a great job and was a credit to the restaraunt. I started off with an entree of bruchetta with melted mozzarella and a glass of beer. There was no decision needed when it came to the main meal as I hadn't had cabonara in ages. I wasn't disappointed. All up the whole lot cost around $50 so fairly reasonable for a good and filling meal."

"Don't expect your average pub fair when you eat at The Republic. The menu offers a broad flavour range, with some definite flair added since I last ate there aeons ago. I had the chargrilled octopus, and while the occy could have been a little more generous for the price tag, it was delicious, every mouthful a morsel of delight.
