"Great selection of beers in a pub or sports bar like setting. Plenty of TVs everywhere. Some of the plates were exquisite, such as the smoked meat and the fried fish (mahi mahi, not cod). Others were so-so. Parking validation gives you an hour of free parking."

"The drinks were good and the food was AMAZING. I got their burger(with bacon) and fries. That aioli sauce was to die for and I’m super picky about sauces. One of the best burgers I’ve had and I’ve traveled a lot! So freaking good! Worth every penny!"

"I definitely recommend this place! Excellent drinks! Open till late even Monday?s and Tuesday?s! Food is good! I?ve been here several times, and always love to come back! Prices are good, $10 for a hand crafted cocktail is super good for hawaii! And the quality is really amazing! Best burger in town! The pork was reaaaaally good! And the simmer skillet is a must!"

"Happy Hour: 4pm-6pm But don't ask what the deals are cause I didn't really pay attention. We came to celebrate Administrators Appreciation Day so in honor of that I figured I would get a beverage. $5 for the strawberry and rose smoothie which was a little tart...tasted kinda like a strawberry lemonade. I liked it but 2 other girls didn't care for it too much. We got several pupu dishes for the table: Kalua pig nachos, spicy ahi nachos, salt and pepper wings.. I wanted fries but I started getting kinda filled up with all the nachos and I also ordered the bacon, expecting crispy fried strips. It was more like chunks of roast pork but still yummy. One of the other gals got pupu steak which came out sizzling topped with mushrooms and the meat was so tender. I really enjoyed the flavor and glad she shared. We passed all the dishes up and down the table and I'm pretty sure we left nothing on the plates! There was also live music and the man playing was very good. He played a lot of well known Hawaiian and older music, and even was asked to play something by one of the people I was with. My only critique is that the volume was slightly too loud for any decent conversation unless you sat next to the person you were talking to. Our service was a little touch and go and I think i only saw the bartender and a server. This place wasn't extremely busy in my eyes but if felt very busy especially getting the server's attention to put in orders. She did end up bringing us a water pitcher though so that was smart. In my experience this was a nice place to wind down after work for drinks, good food and fellowship so I would come back again."

"We landed on the island in the afternoon and I starved. We visited restaurants along the route to our hotel and discovered Bar Koko. At first it was hard to see and I thought it was the...interesting... hook bar at the corner and was a little skeptical. Although they share a bathroom with this hook bar, they are not actually the hook bar: they are a delicious little restaurant on the side. Our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs because the plates were a good size compared to what you get in Persian restaurants in California. We ordered the Koobideh and the chicken cabob plates together with the Pita bread. I don't think it was the usual long grain rice used in Persian cuisine, but the food was still super delicious. Our server was very friendly and let us even charge our phone behind the counter while we ate. Definitely recommend when you eat cracin Persian food in Honolulu!"

"In Honolulu with my husband who is here on business. We ate at Hana Koa the first week we were here and it was sooo good we came back with several of his business associates the second week. It did not disappoint. Even with a large party the service was great and food and drinks exceptional. We will definitely return when we come back to the island."

"First time there, I was so excited that I forgot to take pictures. The food was amazing, I had the best misoyaki butterfish I've ever had in my life. The sushi was fresh and tasty, barely used the shoyu and wasabi. The yuzu sorbet and citrus cheesecake were perfect. I actually remembered to take a picture of those. Make sure you call ahead and make your reservations at this sweet 100 year old teahouse with an beautiful view. I definitely will go again to try everything on the menu."
