"Update: 3-4 times. Every time. Lunch Special is such a good deal. Less than $14, get 3 barbecue items (meat, veggie, several to choose from). Rice, soup and salad. Bring your coupon from KauKau magazine (It is in Japanese, but you will find coupon on Gyukaku page with small English translation) for free soft drinks or $1 Kirin beer. Your service was better every time and they give the best Kamaaina discount! Now it's our favorite place. The food was great. Portions are a little small, but I can order 5-6 different items along with rice, soup, etc. Happy Hour is the way to go. Beer is cheap and super cold, making my Hubby happy. It was about shift change, so the service wasn't that big... our server never came back to check if we needed anything. No refilling on water. We will go back because we enjoy the food and the price was reasonable."

"Hawaii Hot Pot, I haven't been in town yet! BUT!!! I recently visited the location in Aiea in Pearlridge Center Mall. We reopened that. The service honest... would have been much better... but to say the least, the food taste makes for the lack of customer service. The variety of soup bases is really nice. The variety of food options to add your personal pot... amazing. You even have a variety of sauces you can also add to your pot! But as for customer service.... You write up your name, you should call your name if you don't have your phone number written, they didn't even call our phone number. They're gonna call the next person after us and say they called us. But they didn't, so we stood there for a good 5 minutes when they cleaned the table and set us up. I mean, there was also a little language barrier. but nothing less... it could use some work. The only thing that would hold me here is her food. Nothing less."

"This restaurant had real Korean cuisine her gul kimch was especially good. I really wanted to eat Korean Korean food, not American Korean food after three weeks of business trip, then this restaurant found. I think her food was also appealing to other people because most customers were not Korean. The owner was nice enough to refill all supplements several times!"

"Wow wow was amazing! The atmosphere is beautiful and casual, with many locals eating there. Our server Andy was so knowledgeable and attentive. We ordered the wagyu sampler and were blown away. You never had such good beef in your life, trust me."

"Spicy sesame cold ramen with mulberry leaf noodles is amazing. It comes with pork so if you do not eat pork, like me, you need to request that they omit it. Nato rice bowl is literally the cheapest meal anywhere (under $3) and it is quite good. Definitely cheapest vegan meal. Love the iced mulberry leaf teas. Also inexpensive, and very refreshing. Nice space. Very nice staff. Def a great stop."
