"My wife and I have tried giving this place multiple chances. But my goodness the service at KBC is utterly lacking. Every single time too. Which is a shame since the beer is phenomenal and the food is great and the location and atmosphere are uniquely charming. But good luck getting any type of decent customer service if you are not one of the owners' exclusive favorites. If you are not a regular you are destined to suffer long wait times for your orders, un-pleasant interactions with the wait/bar staff or be simply flat out ignored. Every other year we say we will try them again and, without fail, a trip to KBC turns out the same: disappointment. As KSQ locals we want to love them .... but why put up with the elitist attitudes when there are other, actually friendlier options in town?"

"Where they Shine: The pasta sauce for the eggplant parmesan and lasagna were very flavorful. To be honest, I ate my whole plate of lasagna. The spaghetti was perfectly al dente in the eggplant parmesan dish. Large portions of food. Take out container was of the aluminum variety which is great to heat up in the oven later (no Styrofoam). Areas of Opportunity: The baratta appetizer was just okay as it lacked flavor, and there was no bread served with it (although there was bread and oil for the table). The dessert was also just okay; nothing to write home about. The menus we both received were old, wrinkled, and discolored from what appeared to be food stains. Other Information (not used for rating): The restaurant was pretty much empty at 12:30pm on a Sunday with staff standing around watching TV. However the place did fill up a lot more about an hour later when the Eagles game was on. Coke products with higher syrup and low carbonation. Old fashioned Italian restaurant that could use interior design refresh redesign (personal preference, however, with the area being historic I'm not sure on the options there). Final Thoughts: In our trip we ordered the baratta for an appetizer, eggplant parmesan and lasagna for lunch entrees, and the profiteroles for dessert. Would I go back? If I was in the area yes, but not for the 30 minute drive with better restaurants accessible to me in the West Chester area."
