"This a no frills restaurant, paper table cloths for example,but what a fantastic meal; the place is clean and the owner welcoming. There are plenty of pizza options on the menu but we chose two Portuguese dishes that you do not see on all menus and which we had been looking out for: Alheira de Mirandela (Poultry Sausage) and Bacalhau com Natas (Salt Cod in Creamy Cheese Sauce) , we were not disappointed as both were excellent. A half dose (portion) of the Bacalhau is plenty for one person. With bread and spreads to start and a bottle of house red wine the bill squeezed in at under €20 , note cards are not accepted, cash only. A visit is recommended."

"I have visited ti lena as there was only an old couple living in talasnal (accurately oncle lena after which the restaurant is named) and lisete, the owner, would drive any other weekend of Lousã to open the restaurant. that was what, over 15 years ago? the way there was not even paved! Today there are still a few restaurants in talasnal, but I don't think I will visit them soon. I have been there for one or two times each year, and consistency is the name of the game. I was at this weekend in ti lena with my family and had one of the best meal times in the last 6 months! bacalhau espiritual and chanfana were from this world! definitely can not miss when they visit the opposite and the aldeias do xisto!"
