"This is the place you want to stop if you are travelling on the Trans Canada Highway. It has an amazing view of the Saanich Inlet which, makes you feel as if you are a high roller in an exquisite restaurant. The restaurant itself has a cabin feel to it. The staff was friendly and helpful with making your choices. Food quality was slightly above average. Cost was fair."

"First off I would like to say a massive thank you to all of the wonderful staff that were working on New Years Eve. It was my partner and I’s first à la carte menu dinning experience. We had no idea what to expect as we had thought the regular menu was to be provided as well (an expensive mistake lol), but I can’t even pretend to be disappointed because the food was absolutely AMAZING and in my opinion worth every penny. The Lobster Ravioli with black truffle cream sauce was to DIE for and I think they need to add it to their regular menu yesterday. My partner went out of his comfort zone and went with the veal tenderloin for his main course (he doesn’t eat beef very often), he said it was his favourite dish of the evening! For my main I went with the wrapped halibut which was also delicious. I have very few complaints outside of the fact that I did feel that for the price of the meal we would’ve love the bread to have come out warm, but this is just me getting nit picky. The atmosphere was very nice and quiet which I much prefer to the loud dinning experiences you may have elsewhere. Overall wonderful dinning experience! We will be back to try their regular menu items as well."

"I had a ham, cheese omelette and it was so tasteless. Toast was like eating cardboard. Now I'm hearing from friends that is not very good there for any kind of meal. My husband had bacon and eggs. Pale, tasteless eggs and the bacon so hard from deep frying he wouldn't eat it. His toast was like cardboard too."

"My family and I went to the Malahat Chalet for a late lunch after a basketball tournament in Victoria and we were so disappointed. The food tasted like it was right out of the freezer section with Mccain fries and chicken nuggets and our plates were sparse compared to how they used to be. I don't know if the ownership has changed but this was not how I remembered the Chalet. It used to have great food with amazing views. Now we don't even want to stop for the incredible views, it's just not worth it."

"Stopped here for lunch with my mom and had an AMAZING lunch. I got the bacon cheddar burger and my mom got the mushroom swiss burger. HUGE portions and really tasty burgers. Sammy is a SWEETHEART and i will definitely be coming back and bringing all my friends . WORTH THE STOP!"
