"The poacher bag found on the cursed, had not booked and they gave us a table. Eating was amazing, size of the meal is great for big eater. the personal was beautiful and the service was no longer to end. well done. such a pleasant meal. visit them again and would recommend."

"Where to even start, booked here for Mothers Day after looking online at the Sunday menu no mention on the website of a Mother’s Day menu don’t follow the Facebook page so just assumed it was the normal Sunday menu, well it wasn’t! Not the end of the world but a little disappointing. We ordered the roasts which were so disappointing, 5 hard carrots, 2 very thin slices of pork which were mostly fat, a huge pile of red cabbage (which no one ate as it was disgusting), 3 barely cooked roast potatoes a cold Yorkshire pudding. Puddings were nice but we left hungry! Not what you expect when you’re paying £16.50 for a roast dinner. The children’s meals were fantastic our whole party wished we had ordered off the kids menu! We asked for the service charge to be removed from the bill as service was not good sat with finished plates on the table for 15 minutes all the waitresses were miserable! Upon asking for it to be removed I got given daggers from the waitress then they all stood around the till talking about us while removing the charge. I used to be a waitress you’d have to work really hard to get a tip you don’t just get a tip for doing your job! Had the service been good I’d of been more than happy to pay a service charge but I would have still asked for it to be removed would have left a cash tip on the table, but after that waitress’ reaction I’d of left nothing regardless! I will never return to The Mendip Inn if you’re looking for quality food good service head a few minutes up the road to The Castle of Comfort!"
