"Had the 'don 't be rash ' with chorizo, pretty much a bacon and egg sandwich with brioche. Ridiculously good, worth the trip up. Hot chocolate was great too."

"A very enjoyable experience.<br/ <br/ This place cops a bit of stick in the review-a-sphere, but we only saw this once we had finished our meals. Based on our experience, the criticism seems misplaced. However, we will certainly be returning to test if they can replicate their good work (probably for dinner).<br/ <br/ We turned up on a whim, not knowing where we might be able to share a light meal and get a good coffee in Mt Barker. The place was very busy. <br/ <br/ The staff were warm, welcoming, and even though they were clearly under the pump, attentive. The staff member we spoke to found us a nice seat, and worked out (spookily without us really having to say anything) that we wanted to share a breakfast. <br/ <br/ We ordered (they were efficient and polite) and we didn’t have to wait long for the food. The poached eggs were perfect and delivered with a smile and a sharing plate. The coffee was very good too. I asked for a double shot and received it (rather than the over-extracted single shot that too many places pass off for a double). <br/ <br/ We watched the staff buzz around, politely and efficiently handling a large crowd. It was a pleasure to watch.<br/ <br/ In short, nice atmosphere, very good coffee, great food and excellent staff."

"What a fabulous lunch we had on Sunday 10th of September, the food was amazing I really recommend going the 'feed me ' mini degustation and taking your time over a bottle of wine or 2. The dumplings, the meatballs, the Asian chicken, the squid and the Bao Mi rolls... Pity the menu is changing very soon as I could line up and taste those all over again. And we joined the Clover Society on the day."

"Dropped in to Mt Barker for a meal on the way to Adelaide from Melbourne... we were pretty hungry after the boat trip across the Straight and driving, so we tough we detour and get some good ol' country tucker.the service was good, but the meal not for human consumption. We should have realised from the franchise-look of the menu, but we were too weary to do the maths... anyway, I though I'd go safe with a pub standard meal and go for the parmigiana. you know those "twice-cooked" dishes?.. this Parmy looked like it had been twice cooked over and over again. I could have re-soled my shoe with it, and my partner's creamy lemon sauce, that accompanied her dry chook... had either coagulated sauce crusty skin on it or unmelted cheese at the bottom of the pot.all in all, I felt worse after the meal than before... A real shame and a waste of time and money."
